Takeout food or the term Take Away generally refer to food served in a restaurant to be consumed outside of it. This also applies to a bakery, as many of them do not offer table service.

In the tax settings, we will be able to configure different tax rates depending on whether the items are consumed inside the restaurant or outside of it.

HioPOS Cloud allows you to make sales of take-out items. To close a "Take-out" sale, we will simply have to start a regular sale. More information about the item sales procedure can be found in section 2 of this manual. To convert a regular sale into a "Take-out" sale, we will need to go to the ticket header and select the "Take-out" option, as shown in the following image.

HioPOS Cloud will directly apply the applicable tax rate to the document items, in accordance with the country's legislation and the item type.

To configure different tax rates for the sale of "Take Away" items, you will need to consult section 1.7.3 of this document, where it is explained in detail how to proceed.
